Well done to our athletics team who represented not only Elston Hall but Wolverhampton at this year's Black Country School Games Summer Festival. We joined more than 1500 other athletes competing in a range of events at The University of Wolverhampton.
Our athletics team gave 100 % effort on the day and were great sports men and women. We came 7th out of 15 teams competing. Superb performance!
A great morning of sport at KS1 Sports Day. Thanks to all the parents and carers for attending!
We are incredibly proud of our golfers! They all represented our school with pride showing great team spirit and consideration to others. All of the young leaders that worked with our team commented on how well behaved they were and how the children acted on advise to improve their technique.
On Wednesday 18th April, 8 girls from our netball squad took part in a High 5 girls’ netball tournament at Our Lady St Chad Catholic Academy. They played 7 games lasting 8 minutes each and rotated positions, meaning everyone had a go at different roles, including time keeping and keeping score! The girls played brilliantly and after winning 4 games, drawing 1 and losing 2, they came 3rd place overall! Well done girls!
This afternoon Year 4 were lucky enough to have the opportunity to participate in a fencing workshop. The children enjoyed learning the techniques required within the sport.
Well done to Isobelle who won the girl race, Millie who came second and Fred who won the boys.
The boys team came second overall and the girls came second too.
Fantastic running - well done to all who participated!
On March 22nd six children (Cameron Tyrel, Bobby, Theo, Malakai and Jared) from Elston Hall competed in a 5 a-side football competition at Wolves Dome, Compton and qualified for the finals after winning all their group games without conceding a single goal. Not only are we proud of the boys for playing well as a team but they also represented the school well by showing respect and humility. The finals will take place next Wednesday at 1pm.
Five Year 6 girls played in a 5 a-side football tournament at Wolves Dome, Compton, where they progressed from their group after only conceding one goal. They then went on to beat Wolverhampton Grammar in the semi final before being crowned champions after claiming victory against Villiers in the final.
Well done girls!
