Year 1 and 2 enjoying sports day.
Elston Hall were represented well in the athletics competition at Aldersley today with some fantastic results from all who took part. We had a winning performance from Fred in the 800m and lots of 2nd and 3rd places which means the children qualify to the finals. Well done to all the children involved!
Well done to the Year 6 rounders team who represented Elston Hall at The Royal School. The rounders team showed great teamwork and sportsmanship during their matches against other schools across Wolverhampton. Elston Hall showed great batting and fielding skills and won the first match 16-9. Although team spirits were high, the second rounders game ended with a score of 10- 4 to the other team.
Well done to the boys and girls that participated showing superb effort and determination.
Well done to the children who represented Elston Hall in the Tri-Golf finals and won!
We are the champions!
After coming third in the West Midlands Regional Heat, our fantastic dancers made it through to the The Great Big Dance Off Final in Oxford on Tuesday 4th June 2019. The children performed to the song ‘Survivor’ to an outstanding standard! They were truly incredible to watch and we are so very proud of them. Thank you to all the children, their families and teachers for working so hard, it certainly paid off! Out of 30 schools, our talented dancers ranked 5th! The children worked amazingly well together as a team but they couldn’t have done it without Miss Jones, who choreographed the fantastic routine.
Ready for rehearsals!
Congratulations to the Year 3 and 4 Tri golf team who won the Tri golf competition at Ormiston New Academy. The children will now go through to the finals at Penn Golf club. The team played amazingly well and completed a range of activity stations based around chipping, putting and accuracy. Well done to all the children that represented our school fantastically well.
Congratulations to the Year 3 and 4 five-a-side team!
A squad of 7 players competed in the five-a-side tournament at Compton Park (Wolves training ground) The team won 3 and drew one match to finish second in their league. They played Christ Church in the quarter finals. Unfortunately, after a quick start from Christ Church they took the lead. Elston Hall played well and had two very close chances. Christ Church went on to score two more goals. Final score was 3:0 to Christ Church. The team played very well and represented the school fantastically. Well done!
Player of the tournament for Elston was Alfie H, who scored two super goals.
Another great result!
Elston Hall travelled the short distance to play Rakegate Primary School on Wednesday 20th March. After a slow start, the team began to find their feet and played some excellent football. The Rakegate goalkeeper produced some fantastic saves. Just before half time, Harry broke the deadlock and scored a great solo goal. In the second half, Elston Hall continued to dominate play and showed excellent passing. Harry scored another super goal. Final result was Elston Hall 2 Rakegate 0.
Star performance was Harry for his two great goals.
A huge well done to our cross country team. All the children ran their socks off and were a credit to our school! Well done to Fred who won the individual race.
