What a fantastic way to finish the half term. All the children in our school participated in a 'Health and Fitness Day' which was a huge success. Throughout the day children took part in a number of fitness activities, learnt about keeping healthy and had the opportunity to meet various sporting visitors.
There were aerobic sessions, the school nurse discussed hygiene with KS1 and first aid skills with KS2, Ross Ensor and Sharon Matthews spoke to the children about being chosen to carry the Olympic Torch, Matt Askin shared his experiences of being a Paralympic Cricketer, students from Our Lady and St Chad's organised a multi-skills session with KS1 and boxing and fencing with KS2 and lots more! A huge thank you to all of our visitors.
