Lockdown January 2021 – Remote learning
Home learning will now be sent directly to families via emails so work can be tailored to meet the individual needs of pupils. There will be opportunities for families to communicate with the teacher and feedback to be given.
Teachers will also provide daily TEAMs meeting with the children to share stories and discussions. Each day children will receive Maths and English lessons plus one other subject to ensure the full curriculum is covered across the week. Work will be matched to the learning the children would have received in school but obviously adapted to enable the children to access it independently. Teachers will also encourage children to access online resources such as MyMaths, Purple Mash and Oxford Owls, if your child has lost or not received log-ins for these accounts please contact school.
We appreciate that home- schooling can create issues for families and additional stress during a very difficult time however it is important that children are encouraged to complete work each day where possible.
If you do not have access to technology for remote learning, would prefer 'paper' copies of work or are having difficulties in motivating children to complete work then please contact school who will be happy to offer support where they can.
