Healthy Schools Week

We will be promoting Healthy Eating Week from 1st-5th June. As part of this approach, the Healthy Schools Team are inviting all primary schools to participate in a poster competition, to encourage pupils who take schools meals to choose the 'Super Fruit' desserts during the week. Pupil Premium Award

Elston Hall was selected as regional finalist for the West Midlands in the Pupil Premium Awards 2015 and is one of only seven schools across the country to also receive the accolade. The annual awards recognise schools that have made best use of the money allocated to them under the government's Pupil Premium Policy. Elston Hall was awarded £25,000.00 for school funds!

Mr Grayson, Mrs Highman and a Year 4 pupil travelled to London to receive the award from Deputy Prime Minister, Nick Clegg and the Minister of State for Schools, David Laws MP.

Mountain of Tins

Thank you to children and families for donating tins and food packets for the metre of tins appeal. They will now be taken to the local food bank.

Year 6 SATs

Revision guides are still available for £3. each.  It is vital all children attend for SATs week - week beginning 11th May.

Marie Curie

March 2015

Following last years successful collection, daffodil pins in aid of Marie Curie will be on sale from Monday 9th March at a suggested donation of £1.

Mother's Day

13th March 2015

We will be having a Mother's Day assembly on Friday 13th March for Reception and Year 1 children only. It will start at 2.15pm and we aim to finish by 3.00pm.

Red Nose Day

March 13th  2015

The theme this year is 'make your face funny for money'. On Friday 13th March, school council will be organising a photo booth opportunity for children. Children will have the opportunity to visit the photo booth for a photograph at a cost of 50p. Photographs will be distributed during the following week. Children will need to wear normal school uniform on this day.

Tin Mountain

March 2015

School Council have voted to support the Good Shepherd in their 'mountain of tins' appeal. Between now and 27th March, we will be collecting tinned and packet food items that will be donated to the local food bank. We hope to display our 'tin mountain' in the entrance hall. Any donations should be given to your child's class teacher. Thank you for your support.

Ofsted Inspection

Our most recent Ofsted inspection in December 2014 judged Elston Hall to be an 'Outstanding School', a judgement we were proud to achieve.
