Partnership with this school began as a result of the connection between one of our teachers and his brother who works at this school. Links have been well-established over the years. Contact is made through emails and shared projects, developing children’s international and multicultural understanding. This year the plan is to complete joint art projects to show what life/culture of our contrasting countries is like. This will be a partnership for Year 4 children.

Children created a Flat Stanley Gingerbread Man which they  decorated in a style that reflects their personality. These have been exchanged with the partner school and pupils will take their received Flat Stanley around to places of interest and complete a passport style diary, recording the activity of the Flat Stanley in the country he is visiting. These will then be returned to the country of origin. This enhances children’s knowledge of the other country but also develops their awareness of their own country.
