Children in Year 1 used their voice, body and percussion instruments to add sound effects to Traditional Tales.

Year 2 listened to a range of jungles during their 'Internation Media station' unit. We considered many elements such as rhyme, rhythm, and tempo. During our lessons we wrote our own lyrics for a jingle which would advertise a new cereal. We used our voices, bodies, and instruments to create various effects at different points through our jingle journey.

Children have been learning that music notation is made up of symbols and have learnt to read basic musical notes. They have used their knowledge of music notation to compose a piece of music.
