Science Day March 2024 Reception

Reception children had a fantastic science day!

They kicked off the day with learning how to make predictions based on the story “Tadpole’s Promise” before learning about the life cycle of a butterfly and a frog.

After lunch, it was time to get stuck in with lots of experiments. Children enjoyed testing whether an object sinks and floats, how to make reaction explosions using baking soda and vinegar, how to make raisins dance using sparkling water and investigating which materials outside are magnetic.
