As part of our Athens V Sparta topic we have had great fun during design and technology. First, we looked at different weapons used and identified what makes them strong. We explored how to stiffen and reinforce materials to help with our designs. We sketched our designs with labels for materials and techniques required. Finally, we put our knowledge to the test, constructing our very own trebuchets (a type of catapult). It was challenging but incredibly rewarding to see our designs come to life.
