Year 1 had a fantastic inspiration day to start their new topic 'Zero to Hero'. They came to school dressed as their hero. This varied from a superhero, a famous person, a sports hero or a community hero such as a nurse or a firefighter. 'Zero to Hero' is a thematic unit about heroes and heroines, both past and present, who have overcome major challenges in life and become inspirational figures. Children wrote about their heroes, made up chants and performed with instruments.
