I love doing investigations and finding things out for

myself.  It was fun learning about shadows and making

my own shadows.

Investigating poo to see if it is from a herbivore,

omnivore or a carnivore.

Children investigating the basic structure of a flowering plant before planting it in our garden.

As part of the thematic unit 'Land Ahoy' children began by exploring how things move, linking with a pirate’s journey around the continents and oceans.

Investigating Shadows

Year 6 children dissected sheep hearts! They have previously learnt about the role of blood for animals, and now they have studied the heart in more detail. They dissected the hearts and identified the different components, taking particular care not to damage the valves or the aorta!
